Education
At the highest level I have gained a BSc Hons degree
in Sport & Exercise
Science, from The University of Birmingham, graduating in 1999.
Qualifications
I am a Certified Personal Trainer from the National Strength & Conditioning
Association.
I also hold a valid Sports First Aid Certificate from the National Sports Medicine
Institute.
Experience
In addition to over 15 years of training myself, I also have nearly 10 years
experience working in gyms and health clubs helping a wide range of ordinary
people achieve their personal goals.
I have been working as a Personal Trainer for nearly 5 years, including employment
with a multi-national chain of Health Clubs.
I am now the Club Manager of a private Fitness Centre in the local area.
Areas of Expertise
Since the majority of my work is with fat loss I would have to say this is
my main area of expertise. However, I particularly like to emphasise exercise
with resistance equipment such as machines and free weights in order to achieve
a wide variety of goals, ranging from posture correction or general toning
right through to muscle building. I also believe strongly in the use of Swiss
Balls to help develop all over body strength, control, tone and stability.
